Yesterday morning I woke up at 7am and got in the shower to get ready for my first training meeting for seminary with the 16 chosen student teachers. I had been looking forward to this meeting for weeks; both in hopes to find out where I will be teaching and to enjoy another great spiritual lesson from my amazing teachers/trainers.
At approximately 7:25am sitting with wet hair about to do my make-up, my phone vibrated. I was shocked by a phone call that early in the morning and thought the number looked familiar so I picked it up. It was one of my teachers who asked, 'Are you coming this morning?' I excitedly said, 'YES!' Then he said, 'Oh, are you running late?' My heart dropped. 'What? Doesn't it start at 9am?' 'No, we started at 7am.' Fantastic! One of the most important meetings of my potential new career and I am a 30 minute drive away. I hurriedly put make-up on, got dressed, dried my hair, and rushed out the door. I made it to the meeting just after 8am...one hour late. I felt absolutely horrible.
Fortunately, my teachers know me better than to think I would be late on purpose and they were very understanding. And I didn't miss anything I didn't already know...besides introductions. The meeting was amazing. I was taught by the Spirit more ways to Come Unto Christ and I am very excited to teach the Life and Mission of my Savior this upcoming year. Let's just hope I am never an hour late to another meeting again.

HAHA. I was late for my first faculity meeting my first year teaching, and no one knew me well enough to know it was not normal. I didn't hear my alarm.
YEAH! Now we are blog buddies!
