Kermit, Talk To Me...

Recently I was able to spend some time in in Maryland with some old and true friends. A friend from High School, Amanda, is currently working on her PhD at the University of Maryland. She was wonderful to come and pick me up so we could spend the day together. We toured the beautiful campus (I was reintroduced to the humidity), touched the nose of the famous turtle, ate lunch at the Campus Food Court, and tried to get Kermit the Frog's attention...I guess Jim Henson is more entertaining than I am.

I was also able to spend some time with my friend, Jim. He took me to the National Cryptologist Museum and got me thinking about a career in code breaking. I was so intrigued with the Enigma machine and the entire process of code breaking. I grew up breaking codes for Scavenger Hunts my Dad would put together. The process of figuring out a code is paralleled with great memories and could be an intriguing job. You never know.

I am so grateful for the chance to experience new places and new things with wonderful people. Thanks Amanda and Jim for taking care of me and being so absolutely amazing!!
