Wyoming Weekend Getaway

I forget how much I truly LOVE Wyoming until I am able to go back. I haven't been back for over a year and was finally able to convince some friends to go home with me. I tried for a big group but was glad when it ended up being only four of us...and all girls. Girl's Weekend all the way!! We did everything a bunch of girls would do...play Mall Madness (who remember that great game from the early 90's?), shop in all the small town shops, Sweat to the Oldies with Richard Simmons, watch classics like The Buttercream Gang and Saturday's Warriors, and just relax. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. There is something in the air...and water...of Star Valley that takes all stress and worry away. Just driving in brings joy to my heart. There are so many places in Star Valley that just make me smile. We were able to enjoy a few like Rulon's Burger Barn and the Red Baron. We played like tourists and took all the good pictures...of course, with the World's Largest Elk horn Arch. The rainy days didn't discourage us. We even tried starting a fire in our fire pit. When that didn't work we ingeniously used the stove to roast our marshmallows and enjoy our smores. Nothing is impossible for us.

The only thing missing from the entire experience was my parents. It's hard for me to go home and not have them there but I know they are doing more important things serving the Lord. I love having them closer to me on a regular basis but home is not home without them.
