Welcome to Being 30!

Another year has passed me by and I am so ready to embrace the big THREE-OH!! Because of amazing friends and family, my birthday was very special. I started out the morning by going on a jog, then dear, sweet Jim took me to Kneaders for a fabulous breakfast. After breakfast, Connie and I enjoyed some time in the temple. I am blessed to be able to spend a portion of my birthday in the Lord's house feeling of His spirit.

The evening was spent at my amazing sister's with her sweet family and Connie. Little did I know another sister and her family were on their way into town to surprise me. So I got to spend the evening with more family than I expected and feel so blessed to be part of such an amazing family. We enjoyed one of my favorite meals and then sat down to watch The Bachelorette when we were surprised by more family. What a blessing!

With them all came opening of gifts. My nephews are so cute. They brought me a perplexus, a cool marble ball game that they are addicted to and knew that I would love one too.
My brother-in-law sent the biggest donut in the world.

And my oldest nephew MADE me a set of poi balls. I am so impressed with his skills and excited to learn how to use them! (I didn't take a picture. Maybe I'll have to post a video as I gain the skills.)
After blowing out the candles of my amazing cake...
...my nephews told me I had to do 30 push-ups before I could eat any. So I decided to see if I could.
Success!! (even the monkey and the chicken tuckered out too quickly.)
And I enjoyed my cake!
What a great celebration!!
