July 30th was the perfect day for my 30th birthday party. Not only was the day fitting but also the fact that it is National Dance Day!! In honor, I sent out the links to learn the routines choreographed by So You Think You Can Dance choreographers for National Dance Day and then we had the chance to show our stuff at my party. It was perfect!
Everything worked out better than I ever imagined. I didn't know where I could have a party with enough space (and lack of 10pm noise ordinance) for a dance worthy of National Dance Day. I mentioned my concern to a friend and she offered her grandparent's backyard. Their house is amazing!!
And the backyard...huge. I was afraid that I would look like I have no friends because there is no way they would fill the space. But we had a perfect spot for a dance and plenty of grass space for games and whatever.
My amazing friend, Kevin, was willing to DJ and he was perfect!!
We had the food on the patio with plenty of tables and chairs. Torri took the opportunity to enjoy the patio. As well as many others throughout the night.
In my opinion, the party was a success and I hope others felt the same way. I had a great time on the dance floor and was pleased and impressed by how many came prepared to rock it with Napolean and Tabitha's "Master Class" routine.
