I thought summer was going to be boring so before school ended I made me a list of "to do's" to give me projects to work on while I'm not teaching. I have only recently had time to attempt the projects...and obviously my blog has been neglected. So here are some brief highlights of summer thus far...
Connie
Family Fun
Having Megan and Shane in town was absolutely fantastic and made the transition from working full-time to summer much more fun! I will treasure our great memories: Lagoon, Mind Trap, Speed Walking, Cafe Rio, and much more!
Not long after Megan and Shane left me, I returned home again to spend some time with my brother, Ryan, and his family. We spent some time in Yellowstone and Teton National Parks. I live so close to such beauty, it's a blessing! I loved every day with that sweet family and had a hard time saying goodbye.
I am very fortunate to have my sister, Britt, and her family live so close. I treasure my weekly visits at their house and was fortunate to be able to celebrate my nephew's birthday this month.
30 Dates for my 30th Birthday
Yes, I am turning 30 this month...even though I like to believe I don't look a day older than 23...and for my birthday wish I have asked for more dates. I was complaining to Connie one night about how I'd love to go out with many of the boys I know but don't know how to get them to ask me and she came up with this fabulous idea. So I advertised, of course, on Facebook and hoped for the best. I have had some friends pull through with setting me up with people but have been disappointed that very few guys I actually know are pulling through for me. I don't take pictures of every date but I happened to capture a few. Hopefully MANY more dates are to come. I have a LONG way to go to get my 30 this month and not many days of the month left. Cross your fingers.

Scottish Festival with Lane
He's drinking the freshly brewed "root" beer and I am gearing up to try the ethnic Scottish egg
