18 Days!!

I find it so interesting that I am so nervous about spending 4 months in Russia! It potentially could be one of the greatest experiences of my life and I am SCARED!! I thought being older and more mature (in comparison to the majority who volunteer with this program) would make things easier and more exciting. I realize that I am actually less naive, hence more scared.

I just finished a two day training on the teaching methods as well as some cultural workshops. Again I thought my teaching experience would make things easier but instead I am going to have to change habits I have built in my teaching to a completely different methodology.

The great thing is that I know this experience will stretch me and challenge me. I need something to do that for me right now. I can't wait to fall in love with Russia and the Russian people! I look forward to meeting new people and making new friends. I hope to pick up a good chunk of the language. Please keep me in your prayers!
