New Year New Attitude

I brought in 2012 with good friends and "in style."  My friend, Chase, and I had this great idea to have a formal New Year's party and we definitely pulled it off.  Many people popped in and out...including some we didn't even know.  We had good food, dancing, games, and mock champagne to ring in the New Year!  It was so good to see so many friends and remember just how absolutely blessed I am!

The New Year also is always a good time of reflection and change.  In my reflections I found that have really been slacking in the very basic areas.  This school year has been a crazy one for me with teaching 7 very full classes.  I have found that I don't have much "extra" time and have been slacking greatly in exercising, sleeping, temple attendance and reading my scriptures.  So I set me some good goals to improve the things that I always need to be doing.  I also have resolved to have a better attitude about dating and to not allow myself to be drama when it comes to boys.  And to be honest with myself and with others in these relationships.  I'm quite sick of all the "games" of dating and all the "hanging out" that takes place.  But I am trying to be better so I can enjoy the friendships that I do have and let them mature in their own time and to their proper type of relationship.  Silly patience is always a hard one for me. :)

Thank goodness for all the reminders of re-birth!  I really believe that Lord has created the world the way he has to constantly remind us to return to what we know is right.  I love that we have a New Year, a spring full or re-birth, a Sabbath day every week to reflect and start fresh, and many other times that allow us to reflect and return to God!

Happy New Year and New Birth!
