We've been waiting and praying for this day for years and I am so glad that I got to share is with my dear Torri!! On January 5th in the morning, two fabulous people were sealed together for time and all eternity in the LDS temple! It was an absolute beautiful ceremony and many were in tears...including myself. But I wasn't crying because I was losing a best friend (because I am not) and I wasn't crying because it wasn't me wearing white, I was crying out of complete joy and happiness for my dear Torri who is one of the greatest blessings in my life!! I am so glad I got to enjoy the entire day celebrating this union!
Since Amy (the one who set Torri and Matt up in the first place) and I had no place to go in between all the events, we spent some good bonding time together. We did some temple work before the luncheon and some shopping before the reception. I am so glad that I had Amy to play with and to get to know better!! Amy, you are FABULOUS!!
The luncheon was wonderful! You can't go wrong with waffles covered in berries and cream!! Amy and I took two each and still went back for seconds! It was fun to catch up with old friends there and continue to celebrate the joy of the new couple.
The reception was honestly one of the most entertaining receptions I have ever been to. Amy and I were there early for pictures and then we just hung out all night long. We greeted friends that we know through the couple and we enjoyed entertaining ourselves. But mostly we were entertained by the photographer who took a liking to us and through the course of the evening spent more time with us and got a little too comfortable with us. At first we thought it was funny but by the end of the night we were a little frightened. He was very friendly and also quite inappropriate. Oh, and I caught the bouquet. i think it was slightly rigged, but I'll take it! Definitely a memorable night!
