I hope that many of you were able to attend a broadcast of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication this weekend. I was able to attend the final session this afternoon and I enjoyed it very much. The temple has always been a special part of my life. Serving my mission in Kirtland and being able to spend some good time in the first temple of this dispensation gave me a greater testimony of the importance of this great work. I was able to feel the spirit and desire of the early Saints to have a temple which gave me an appreciation for them and the work that is done. Then I was able to be an ordinance worker at the Provo Temple the last year of my college days. That experience is one of the most treasured experiences of my life. Words can't even express the joy and peace that I received from my time in the Lord's House. I can testify that each Temple really is a place for the Lord to reside here on earth.
I feel very fortunate to live in a place where I am surrounded by temples and can so easily escape to one when I need some peace and comfort. I am humbled at the growth of the church and the increase of temples throughout the world. I look forward to many opportunities in the future to learn more about my Savior in His house.
