I honestly don't know where to begin or how much detail to even get into because, let's be honest, everyone really just looks at the pictures anyway. So here are the highlights of the last couple months:
Ang moved out slightly spontaneously taking with her all her furniture, kitchenware, etc; leaving us with a bit of an empty apartment. Olivia and I refused to live in such unsettled conditions so we went out that same day and restocked ourselves. It was a long but, as always, entertaining day. And we really miss Ang...much more than her stuff.
I've been able to spend some good time with my family; those who live close as well as others who have come to visit. It's a perfect highlight just to be with them. My parents have come to town a few times which gives us good reason to get together. My sister and her husband took a vacation and we all got to help babysit. I always enjoy time with my niece and nephew...even taking them to church looking and feeling somewhat like a single mother. That was an experience! :)
Then another sister and family came to town to run the big Logan to Park City race. Pretty much they are crazy. Again my parents got to babysit the grand kids. I didn't get too much chance to help but sure love time spent with those boys. And it was such a neat experience to see the Oquirrh Mountain Temple with them all.
I quit my job at Sylvan almost a month ago but yet I am still working as they try to replace me. That is a whole long story that will have to wait for another post...or many posts.
I got my EFY injection...only a week this year, but still perfect and just what I needed. The Lord blessed me very much with an amazing group, the perfect co-counselor, much needed answers to prayers, and a great peace of mind. I wish I could have stayed and picked up more weeks...which were offered to me...but I played the responsible one and came back to the job that I quit...I know, I have issues.
But I didn't leave without spending a day in my beloved DC. And of all days, the 4th of July. It's a great experience to celebrate our Nation's Independence at the Nation's Capital. I was VERY sleep deprived and my patience was thin but I didn't show it (I hope) and was able to enjoy the day seeing different highlights of DC. The exhausting day ended with beautiful fireworks shooting up behind the Washington Memorial. Actually I can't say that is where it ended because even though we waited an hour before trying to get on the metro, we still ended up waiting in the hugest line for another hour just to get down into the metro station and then smashed into a car where I had to go and get my luggage and then get back on the train to the other side of DC to where I was staying. I was alone on the metro at 1am...don't worry my mom knows even though she isn't happy about it...and didn't arrive to my destination until closer to 2am. I can't tell you how sleep deprived my poor body still is. I'm not sure I will ever recover. But it was still a fun and memorable day.
And of course, I couldn't leave without spending a day with Jim while I was in the neighborhood. Actually, Jim was my hero and savior many times that trip. I can't thank him enough for his friendship.
I could go into so many more crazy details about each and every one of those highlights but I think I will just save that for personal conversations. I have plenty of adventures to come as I attempt to figure out my life and why I quit my job without having another to replace it. As well as figuring out where I need to be because, really, my options are endless. So many thoughts. So many choices. There is much more to come...

Sorry that your job didn't work out, but it looks like you are having many adventures!
