Upon returning home from Cancun, I found two letters in my mailbox (well, I found more, but two in particular stood out). I happened to be on the phone with my parents at the time and I almost felt like I was opening my mission call again.
I opened the first one and read:
Dear Kara,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been recommended to the Office of Graduate Studies for acceptance into the LPP program for the 2012-2013 cohort. By now, you should have received a letter from the Office of Graduate Studies accepting you into the LPP program. Congratulations on your selection into one of the premiere programs in the country...
I then opened the other...being from the Office of Graduate Studies...and read again that I have been accepted as a Graduate student.
Wow!! A Master's Degree!! And for those who don't know, it is a Masters in Education Leadership which will certify me to be a school administrator. That's right...ME...a Principal! Crazy!!
