I feel much like this frustrated father and appreciate Elder Holland's words of wisdom. I may not have a car that explodes twice in the same spot but I feel like every April through August, I hit the same decision process of what to do with my life. I find I have to return back (to where I started) and get things checked (to make sure I am on the right journey). I feel foolish when I return to this spot again and again and again.
We all have "car explosions" in our life but the important thing is to remember these words:
"DON'T YOU QUIT"
There are good thing to come when we live the gospel and follow the Lord. We may take a few wrong turns along the road and hit some rough road that we didn't expect but in the end we will make our final destination...maybe not in the car we are currently driving...but with the Lord.
I know this and know I need to be better and showing the Lord I know this. My faith and hope falter when the sun is beating down and I feel at a stand still in a construction zone. But in time, the STOP sign will be turned to SLOW and I will be able to continue on my path. Thank you Elder Holland and Mormon Messages for helping me remember that.
